Upper Eyelid Surgery

Aging has a serious impact on the elasticity of the upper eyelid. It often begins to droop which occasionally can even obstruct vision. This can be corrected by a surgical procedure. Surplus skin will be removed under local anesthesia. We suture the incision using microscopic thread. 5 days after the surgery sutures will be removed, which leaves a thin linear scar on the skin. The area of operation might show rosy-purple later blue discoloration which heals in about 10-14 days.  Restriction of physical activity is recommended. In order to optimize scar healing and to accelerate the recuperation process we use the Manual Lymph Drainage method. Dependent on the state of skin, we administer this treatment 2-3 times in the pre-operational phase, and an additional 2-3 times afterwards.
