Birthmarks and other skin abnormalities can occur on any part of upper body, face, scalp or limbs. After dermatoscopic examination they can be removed using plastic surgery. Area of surgery is then closed using surgical sewing technique. Dependent on the healing ability of the skin, a thin linear scar remains. The removed birthmark will be sent for histology.

Surgery can be performed at the time of the dermatoscopic examination or at a later appointment. Surgery is performed under local anesthesia. Optimal incision line is designed, then using atraumatic wound closure we try to ensure linear scar healing. Sutures are removed 8-14 days after surgery.
