A common skin condition characterized by redness and swelling that usually appears on the face and/or nose and is due to dilated blood vessels. A similar phenomenon on the skin is a web-like maze often referred to as “spider veins” or telangiectasias. Besides locally applied creams which are now available on the market, intense light therapy or laser treatment can help treat this condition by reducing the lumen of the vessels.
